For my first destination(ish) wedding, I took a 6 hour trip up to Pittsburgh, PA last September to capture Em and Zach's fairytale wedding day at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, which was the perfect venue choice for them. These two are such a sweet couple and are still raving about their photos a full year later, which makes me so happy.
Although it can be disappointing when you find out it's going to rain on your wedding day, the lack of sunshine couldn't have bothered them less. The rainy weather only added to the romantic vibes of the day as they huddled under an umbrella for their outdoor first look. Their intimate ceremony in the conservatory was just so stunning, surrounded by bright florals and the abundant greenery. Em and Zach requested their first kiss to be captured from behind so their guests were included in the photo, which came out so cute and I'm so happy we went for this untraditional angle. Their first dance was to a beloved Hozier song, which we of course bonded over, being a huge Hozier fan myself. A week after the wedding, they attended his Philly concert as part of their honeymoon, which I also attended, not knowing they would be too. Such a small world and such a fun surprise.
It was a true honor getting to meet Em and Zach and to capture their perfect day.
